Estonia’s Ambassador to Monaco Viljar Lubi presents his credentials

Today, 2 April, Estonia’s Ambassador to Monaco Viljar Lubi presented his credentials to Prince Albert Alexandre Louis Pierre Grimaldi of Monaco.

During the conversation following the presentation of credentials, Ambassador Lubi and Prince Albert II focused on environmental issues, which are a priority area for both Monaco and Estonia. Prince Albert warmly recalled his three previous visits to Estonia and Saaremaa. They also discussed Monaco’s upcoming Presidency of the Council of Europe at a time when the situation in Europe is complex and the war in Ukraine continues. At the start of the full-scale war in 2022, Monaco received 1,000 Ukrainian refugees.

“Estonia has strong ties with Monaco in the fields of economy, tourism and culture. Estonian companies also support sport in Monaco. We will continue to develop our relations in cooperation with Roberto de Silvestri, Estonia’s Honorary Consul in Monaco,” said Ambassador Viljar Lubi.
